On Aug. 26, wine and food aficionados from around Metropolitan Detroit will gather at the Oakland Air at McInerney Center airplane hangar to experience an evening of superb wine and food harmony. The event is being designed by well-known Detroit-area Master Sommelier Madeline Triffon, and Ron Edwards M.S. and Claudia Tyagi M.S., the only two other Master Sommeliers in Michigan, are the event's acting wine directors. This is the first time that the state's three master sommeliers have collaborated on an event.
Attendees will experience an extraordinary feast orchestrated by the Matt Prentice Restaurant Group with a handpicked selection of international wines paired specifically to compliment each dish. The evening will culminate with a special afterglow featuring live music and dancing, a decadent dessert bar, special dessert wines, and an international coffee bar. In addition, well-known area auto dealer baron Martin "Hoot" McInerney will be honored for his ongoing philanthropic endeavors in the community.
